Job Overview
Prairie Playhouse Early Learning Centre is a government-licensed childcare centre rooted in Sedley Sk. We are looking for passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educators to join our team. The ideal candidate values meaningful early learning experiences and creates a nurturing, stimulating environment that supports children’s overall development while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Responsibilities
Plan & implement developmentally appropriate programming based on the play and exploration curriculum.
Create a nurturing, inclusive, & engaging learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, & curiosity.
Adapt & respond to the individual needs & interests of each child in your care.
Observe & assess children,
documenting their developmental milestones & behaviors for ongoing evaluation.
Build a positive & trusting relationship with children & their families, fostering a sense of safety & belonging.
Ensure effective communication with parents, guardians, colleagues, the center director, & the community to promote high-quality childcare.
Ensure compliance with health/safety & organizational policies.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to foster a cohesive & supportive team environment.
Provide early learning and childcare services that align with the center's core values and philosophy.
Maintain a clean and organized centre to ensure that children have a safe space to learn, grow, & explore.
Participate in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
Valid ECE Certification: Level I, II, or III (or willingness to obtain)
Valid First Aid/CPR-C Certification
Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written.
Experience in supporting the needs of all children within an inclusive setting
Live within 60km of Sedley
