Day in the Life As a Mechanic (310T), you will play a critical role in keeping our operations moving, serving as a key contributor to the reliability and performance of our fleet.
You will service, diagnose, and maintain a wide range of equipment, including light vehicles, heavy trucks, construction equipment, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and heavy powertrains.
Your work will include both in‑shop maintenance and off‑site service calls, including emergency roadside repairs that require strong diagnostic skills and sound judgment.
A proactive approach to preventative and predictive maintenance will be essential, along with accurate and timely service documentation to support an organized, efficient shop environment.
Safety will always be your top priority. You will actively promote and uphold a safety‑first culture, leading by example for employees, subcontractors, and consultants alike.
Your technical expertise and skilled judgment will be valued as you provide input on repair strategies, including decisions related to external service providers, while also supporting the overall upkeep and efficiency of the shop.
As an essential member of our team, you will help ensure our equipment operates at peak performance—supporting our crews in the field and contributing directly to the success of our projects.
Qualifications 310T Truck & Coach Technician license
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with the ability to accurately identify and repair mechanical issues
Willingness to work on weekends or emergency service calls as operationally required
Proficiency with diagnostic software and tools (OEM and aftermarket)
Ability to read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics
Completion of relevant safety training (e.g., WHMIS, Working at Heights, Lockout/Tagout) or willingness to obtain
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines
Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, especially during breakdowns or emergency repairs
Physically capable of performing the demands of the role in a shop and field environment
Possess your own set of tools
Compensation Targeting $35 to $45 per hour, depending on skill/level.
