Job Summary and Main Responsibilities The Welder understands and interprets manufacturing plans independently and is capable of performing both assembly and welding responsibilities for the various types of parts we produce, all with minimal supervision.
Main responsibilities:
Read and interpret manufacturing plans;
Weld various steel parts according to the required welding processes, primarily GWAW and FCAW;
Operate lifting equipment and tools used to shape the parts to be assembled;
Inspect the produced parts visually and using measuring instruments to validate their quality and conformity;
Maintain a clean and protected work environment at all times;
Perform all other related tasks.
Know-How Required Strong interpersonal skills (integrity, support, teamwork, and customer focus);
Demonstrates excellent organizational skills, attention to detail,
and a sound work method, while maintaining a good pace and a focus on quality;
Demonstrates versatility and has the potential for growth;
Demonstrate good (safety) practices in the performance of duties.
Skills We Are Looking For Diploma of Vocational Studies in Welding or Welding and Fitting;
Experience in MIG/GMAW welding;
Able to interpret and perform welds according to drawings;
Able to interpret various welding symbols;
Good understanding of welding parameters and their effects;
Valid forklift operator’s license (an asset).
What We Offer Work location: 4065 Portland Blvd.;
Work schedule: 40 hours per week;
Salary: Based on experience;
Two (2) weeks of vacation;
7 paid working days during the holiday closure;

Work clothes.
