Position Summary Reporting to the Director of Administration, the housekeeper is responsible for providing a disinfected, clean, sanitary, and safe setting for the clients, employees, and visitors at the Pine Lodge Residential Treatment Facility.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities Adhering to the policies and procedures as established by Pine Lodge.
Cleans, sanitizes and disinfects all areas, equipment and floors.
Discharge cleaning.
Cleans walls, ceilings, fixtures, furnishings and equipment.
Cleans windows, ledges, sills, curtains and blinds.
Cleans vents, heat registers, light fixtures, fans, and air return ducts.
Cleans sinks, toilets, showers, bathtubs, mirrors, shelves, and all bathroom fixtures.
Cleans cupboards, doorknobs, rails, light switches, counters, garbage cans.
Cleans specific areas such as bedrooms, programming rooms, storage rooms, closets, and offices.
Works in conjunction with Maintenance staff to maintain floors,
collect and dispose of garbage.
Ensures mops, pails, cleaning cloths and cleaning tools are cleaned and disinfected.
Cleans the stairwell and elevator area.
Cleans and maintains equipment (vacuums, floor cleaner, washer/dryers, etc.).
Reports any unsafe conditions or maintenance concerns.
Prepares cleaning solutions.
Checks and re-stocks bathroom supplies.
Collects, washes, and distributes linen (bedding and towels).
Tracks and orders supplies as necessary.
Identifies improvements to the Director of Administration on a timely basis.
Participates in staff meetings and training events.
Carrying out other relevant duties as may be designated.
Educational Requirements Grade 12.
Knowledge of WHIMS an asset.
Valid Driver's License an asset.
