Overview
We are seeking a Junior Structural Drafter to support the preparation and development of structural engineering drawings and design documentation for mining and industrial projects involving steel, concrete, and infrastructure systems. This role works closely with engineers and designers to produce accurate, high‑quality drawings in a collaborative, dynamic project environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and revise structural drawings for steel, concrete, and layout components

Support engineers in developing design deliverables

Ensure drawing accuracy and compliance with industry standards

Assist with drafting and coordination across disciplines

Maintain accurate documentation and project files

Qualifications

Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering Technology, or related field

0–2 years of drafting experience (co‑op or internship considered)

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting software





Basic understanding of structural systems (steel and concrete) and construction concepts

Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drawing production

Solid organizational and time‑management skills

Effective communication and teamwork skills

Interest in mining, construction, or industrial projects is an asset

Exposure to structural drafting for industrial or mining projects

Experience with 3D modeling tools (Revit, Tekla)

Familiarity with structural detailing standards and practices

Understanding of structural safety and design considerations

Salary
Estimated salary range: $45,000 – $50,000 per year.
