Become a Mental Health Counsellor at Nisa Foundation, working in person in Edmonton. This part-time role emphasizes peer counseling and community integration for women facing challenges.

You will deliver private counseling sessions, champion wellness group initiatives, and engage in community networking to support residents. Applicants should ideally have a degree in Counseling or Social Work and possess 2-3 years of relevant experience. Multilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in French, will be favored to connect with diverse groups.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individualized counseling sessions for residents
• Implement regular support groups addressing mental wellness




• Train staff on trauma-informed practices and mental health
• Coordinate case management efforts with caseworkers
• Maintain documentation and participate in assessments

Requirements:
• Relevant degree in Social Work, Counseling, or similar
• Minimum 2-3 years of counseling experience
• English fluency; French strongly preferred
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
• Solid active listening and communication abilities
