Homestead Co-op’s Pharmacy in Portage la Prairie is expanding our staffing needs and in need of a Full Time – Staff Pharmacist. This pharmacist role is located in an eligible community for Canada Student Loan Forgiveness*.

What you’ll do
Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, the candidate will be responsible for assisting with the day‑to‑day operations of the Pharmacy Department.

Ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely

Provide patient counselling and education on prescription and non‑prescription medications

Administer injections/immunizations





Assist customers with locating merchandise on the sales floor

Review patient profiles to identify drug‑related problems and monitor medication adherence

Complete adjudication and sale of prescriptions and other purchases using the pharmacy software and point of sale (POS) systems

Support accurate pricing, ordering, and receiving procedures to minimize shrink and optimize sales

Supervise and train other dispensary staff as required to maintain efficient workflow within the dispensary

Comply with all legal requirements (Federal and Provincial) and Pharmacy Standards of Practice

Comply with Homestead Co‑op policies and procedures and follow Health and Safety procedures

Must be able to work flexible hours during hours of operation.

The candidate must be fully licensed and registered with CPhM to practice in Manitoba.

Candidates with injection certification and other advanced practice certificates are preferred.

Experience with Kroll Pharmacy Software is an asset.
