SUMMARY
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor the Material Handler is responsible for a variety of warehouse tasks using an RF and various material handling equipment. Follows best practice processes to ensure we are efficient, accurate, and provide quality and on-time orders for our customers.
SHIFT
Monday to Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
RESPONSIBILITIES
The material handler plays an key role in meeting customer agreements which include productivity, accuracy, and service level.
Responsible for the handling of product for various operational processes, including receiving, order picking, shipping, and inventory control.
This role requires the use of material handling equipment and RF technology.
Follows Standard Operating Procedures to ensure quality and consistency is achieved.
Completes material handling tasks as presented on the RF, scanning where possible to avoid manual keying.
Participates in inventory activities including physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
Moves empty pallets, depositing them at the designated pallet holding location.
Keeps the warehouse clean, orderly, and free from obstructions, with all debris placed in proper containers or designated areas.
Operates equipment and completes tasks in a manner consistent with company Health & Safety policies.
Demonstrates respect forthe organization’s values, while maintaining and upholding company policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE
Two (2) years warehouse experience, with one year’s operating material handling equipment (MHE) with a proven track record for safety.
Previous experience with RF based Warehouse Management System (WMS), preferably Red Prairie
EDUCATION
Some high school, completion of secondary school diploma preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS
One or a combination of the following equipment experience and certification - Order Picker
WORKING CONDITIONS
Able to commit to a flexible work schedule, including overtime and weekends when required.
Works 100% of their time on the warehouse floor, walking, standing, and bending.
Capable of lifting up to 50lbs repeatedly and safely.
Recognize that work hours and location may change
