Pay Band Nurse B
Salary: $42,040 to $52,440 per annum (6-step range)
Location: Regina, Saskatchewan
Job Summary
The Public Health Nurse (PHN) works as an integral member of the Public Health Services team, providing nursing services within the framework of the Population Health Promotion Model and Primary Health Care. The PHN translates knowledge from the health and social sciences to support health-enhancing behaviors of individuals, families, and population groups through targeted interventions, programs, and advocacy. The PHN uses knowledge, skills, and abilities specific to health promotion, prevention, and protection, works relatively independently, and makes decisions based on sound assessments in accordance with the Public Health Act, the policies of the Public Health Nursing program, the CRNS Standards of Practice, the Canadian Community Health Nursing Standards of Practice, and other relevant legislation.
The PHN liaises with and refers to other health personnel, partners with other sectors and community groups, and plans, organizes, implements,
and evaluates nursing programs in an assigned area.
Shift: Days, Evenings, Weekends, Statistics
Total hours per rotation: 224 hours per 6 weeks

Responsibilities
Provide nursing care and health promotion services to individuals, families, and community groups.
Plan, implement, and evaluate public health interventions, programs, and policies.
Collaborate with community partners and other health sector agencies to address health issues.
Maintain skilled knowledge and apply clinical skills in accordance with regulations and standards.
Qualifications
Minimum of one (1) year of public health nursing experience is an asset.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN).
Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
Other Information
Travel may be required as part of job responsibilities.
