Job Description

The Registered Nurse A reports to the Nursing Unit Manager or Director of Nursing.

Maintains a high standard of patient care in accordance with the vision, mission and philosophy of the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region.

Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates comprehensive client‑centered care.

Works as a member of the Nursing Department and performs duties in the Emergency unit.

Experience

3 years of acute care nursing, including at least 1 year of recent Emergency nursing experience.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN).

Current registration with CRNS and current BCLS certification.

Other Education and Training

Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) or other trauma assessment course (desired).





SANE certification required and must be maintained.

Adult Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (ASNE) training completion required.

Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS).

Sound clinical judgment skills.

Ability to work in a team setting.

Knowledge and Abilities

Ability to operate related equipment and carry out the duties of the position.
