Job Description Summary
Sunbelt Rentals – the fastest growing rental business in Canada – is seeking an experienced Technician. This mechanic/technician role performs preventive maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and complex repairs on equipment to avoid downtime. The fleet includes aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and, depending on location, large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas-related equipment.

Education or Experience

High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training desired.

Previous mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment strongly preferred.

Valid Red Seal (Heavy Duty) is an asset.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

May need to provide mechanic’s tools of the trade.

Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting skills.

Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a rapid‑paced environment.

Compensation
Base Pay Range: $35.77 – $49.19 per hour, depending on position, location, education, training, and experience.
