Make a difference in a growing, innovative mental health organization and centre of excellence in people‑centered care. This part‑time position requires consistent evening availability, with shifts scheduled from either 12–8 PM or 2–10 PM. As a Group Facilitator and Mental Health Therapist, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team focused on delivering seamless services and programs to our clients and customers. This role is considered hybrid, working both from our local office in Mississauga and your home office as needed.
What You’ll Be Doing
Conduct clinical assessments, comprehensive evaluations, prepare collaborative treatment plans and comprehensive reports
Integrate psychosocial assessments into the team’s treatment planning
Participate with the clinical team in assessments, client reviews, treatment planning, therapeutic interventions, and discharge planning
Facilitate evidence‑based therapy, psycho‑educational, and recovery management groups
Provide individual counselling sessions in support of specific treatment needs and goals
Establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with all clinical and program stakeholders
Ensure continuity of care is maintained through the transfer of information including outreach to the client, family members, physician, team members, other service providers and client personal support network, utilizing client informed consent processes
Identify and plan for discharge needs including coordination of referrals to appropriate community resources and outpatient counselling
Awareness and acknowledgement of the value of using measurement‑based care when supporting patients/clients to help guide clinical decision making; experience an asset
What We’re Looking For
Master’s degree of Social Work, Counselling or Psychology
Registration with applicable regulatory College
Experience with facilitating evidence‑based therapy groups and individual psychotherapy
Demonstrated experience in treating trauma, stressor‑related disorders and concurrent psychiatric and substance use disorders
Assessment of group dynamics and facilitation skills for group therapy
Knowledge of concurrent addiction disorders for specific addiction assessment tools
Solid organizational, time management and presentation skills
Exceptional communication and customer service delivery skills
Demonstrated success working independently as well as contributing actively to team objectives
