Position Overview
South Country Co‑op is hiring a detail‑oriented and organized Senior Office Clerk to join the Finance Team at the Business Support Centre in Medicine Hat, AB. The role reports to the Office Manager and supports day‑to‑day administrative operations with a focus on accounts payable.
Key Responsibilities
Process and verify accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Assist with maintaining and reconciling financial records and reports
Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and related matters
Prepare, organize, and maintain files, reports, and other financial documents
Support the finance team with data entry, reporting, and reconciliation tasks
Coordinate communication between departments and external vendors
Perform general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and mail distribution
Contribute to a positive team environment through solid collaboration and communication
Maintain a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Diploma in Business or Office Administration (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 2 years of experience in an office or administrative role, preferably with exposure to accounts payable
Basic accounting knowledge is preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document handling
Excellent organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively in a team setting
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
Ability to adapt to new technologies and work in a fast‑paced environment
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Work Schedule
Monday to Friday; 7.30am to 4.30pm
