What is the Opportunity?
The Steam Generator Replacement Team (SGRT) project is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon, United and Framatome, located in Kincardine, Ontario. SGRT is a part of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) project and includes the removal of the steam generators at Unit 3 and 4 and the installation of replacement steam generators with related plant modifications. This project is part of Bruce Power’s Life Extension Program, which will allow Bruce Power’s CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064. The Quality Inspector, Mechanical, reports to the Project Quality Supervisor and is responsible for all quality functions and duties related to SGRT construction activities.

What You'll Do Here

Participate in the execution of the Inspection and Test Plans.

Perform quality inspection in accordance with the project’s quality program, related codes and customer specifications.

Carry out dimensional inspections, visual welding inspections, respirator work, and radiological environment inspections.

Execute inspections outlined in the Construction and Inspection Test Plans.

Review Certified Material Test Reports as required.

Perform internal weld monitoring.

Complete all associated documentation and forms for individual inspections.

Write and track non‑conformance reports and corrective/preventative action requests.

Support site QC activities associated with the project requirements.

What You Bring To The Team





Graduate secondary school education in welding technology, QA/QC or a related discipline at the University or College level.

W178 Level 2 Visual Weld inspection certification.

Knowledge of ASME Code, B&PV; plus Nuclear, CWB experience, and other Technical Standards and Codes associated with the project.

Experience in MS Office and other Microsoft programs.

Previous experience in receiving inspections and controls within a Nuclear Qualified Program is an asset.

Good communication and organizational skills.

Ability to effectively interact with people at all levels of the organization to implement quality requirements and objectives.

Compensation
The expected pay range for this role is $37 – $45 per hour. Individual pay is determined based on location, education, experience, skills, and job conditions.
