Position
Southeast Advocates Inc. (SEA) is hiring a SWIS Coordinator to deliver school-based and community settlement services to newcomer youth and families in the Estevan area.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct needs/assets assessments and develop settlement plans

Provide school orientation for newcomer students and families

Facilitate settlement programming, informal language learning, and community connection activities

Engage school staff on intercultural competence and anti-racism initiatives

Contribute to quarterly reports and funder reporting

Skills and Competencies

Robust cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently, manage a diverse caseload, and prioritize effectively

Comfortable facilitating group sessions and individual meetings

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)





Experience with electronic case management or reporting systems

High degree of confidentiality and professional ethics

Community Connections

Facilitate community activities that help participants explore local resources and build social connections

Coordinate matching activities and Peer Leadership programming for youth and children

Qualifications

Post‑secondary in social work, education, community development, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Strong cross‑culture abilities

Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with case management systems

Valid SK Class 5 licence and access to a vehicle

Vulnerable sector criminal record check required
