About the Opportunity
We are currently recruiting a Health Center Administrative Assistant to join our team inCranbrook, BC. The Health Center Administrative Assistant will perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties in support of the Community Health and Wellness department.
Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide telephone and in-person receptionist duties for the health and wellness centre
- Provide and manage clinic intake and bookings (using electronic scheduling and booking system, filing, medical patient travel program, etc.)
- Provide administrative and clerical support (meeting minutes, monthly newsletter creation, health center correspondence, etc.)
- Practitioner Support (set up examination rooms, coordinate programs and schedule, supplies pickups, etc.)
In order to qualify for the Health Center Administrative Assistantrole, you must have a minimum of2 years of experience in a similar role, knowledge of the health care field,and post‑secondary education in office administration is preferred. Proof of a clear criminal record including vulnerable sector check. Provision of a clean driver’s abstract and a Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
Salary will commensurate with experience from a range ($37,781-56,000) and includes a favorable perks package and pension plan.
Preference will be given to candidates of Ktunaxa or other Indigenous ancestry andʔaq̓amencourages applicants to self-identify within your application.
