Role Overview
The Volunteer Coordinator supports the day to day coordination of volunteers and helps ensure a smooth, organized, and welcoming volunteer experience. This role works closely with MNLC staff and the Volunteer Lead to match volunteers with appropriate opportunities and maintain explicit communication.
Key Responsibilities
Support volunteer recruitment, intake, and onboarding
Maintain volunteer records, schedules, and contact lists
Assist with matching volunteers to programs and roles
Communicate updates, expectations, and schedules to volunteers
Flag concerns or issues and escalating when appropriate
Requirements
Robust organizational and communication skills
Comfort working with diverse teams and community members
Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow established processes
Experience in volunteer coordination or administrative support is an asset
Interest in nonprofit or newcomer serving work
(Please note that this is not suitable for High School Students)
