Take on a vital role as a Nursing Unit Assistant focused on patient care. Support medical teams by managing communications, coordinating appointments, and maintaining patient records in a casual setting.

In this position, you will perform essential clerical duties that ensure operational efficiency in a patient care area. You'll serve as a communication link, transcribing orders, arranging tests, and directing visitors. The role also involves working with electronic records and maintaining patient charts diligently, contributing to a high standard of care.

Key Responsibilities:
• Transcribe and process physician orders
• Coordinate patient appointments and tests
• Maintain and assemble patient charts
• Communicate with various departments
• Answer phone calls and direct visitors

Requirements:
• Grade 12 education required
• Medical terminology knowledge necessary
• Completion of Nursing Unit Clerk program preferred
• One year of recent relevant experience
• Keyboarding speed of 50 wpm or more
