Case Administrator, Complaints and Practice Investigations
College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC – Vancouver & Lower Mainland, hybrid (in‑office and work from home).

Full‑time, contract (10 to 11 months). Total compensation: $50,574–$63,217 per year.

Position summary
Reports to the conduct manager. Manages complaint files and collaborates with managers and other case administrators within the complaints department.

Responsibilities

Maintain complaint files: act as liaison, create, open, close and file complaint files, send form letters, complete acknowledgment calls, manage bring‑forward system, review materials for risks, maintain file completeness and privacy, track follow‑up actions, file committee minutes.

Provide administrative support: draft correspondence, attend interviews, respond to inquiries, assist with committee preparation, scan and save documents, other duties as required.

Requirements and qualifications

Grade 12 completion plus a two‑year office administration diploma or equivalent education/experience; post‑secondary education is an advantage.

Ability to work under pressure and handle diverse public and professional interactions in emotional situations.

Strong interpersonal,



written and verbal communication, editing and proofreading skills.

Analytical and problem‑solving, critical thinking, high attention to detail, ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.

Organizational skills and ability to set priorities.

Works independently and as a team member.

Maintains a calm demeanor during busy periods.

Uses Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).

Understanding of qualified regulation processes is an asset; background in health care or familiarity with medical language is preferred.

Proficiency in safeguarding confidential information and exercising good judgment.

Prior experience interfacing with patients or public is advantageous.
