Trusty Tree Services is a locally employee owned, and operated company based in Sherwood Park, serving the Edmonton Area since 2017.
We provide services such as tree pruning, tree removals, tree & shrub planting, hazard assessments, stump grinding, brush chipping, landscaping, and more.
We are seeking an experienced climbing arborist/Crew Leader that enjoys working as a team to support individual and company goals.
We have our own shop, great yard space, good running equipment and gear.
We are looking for someone for immediate hire, that’s able to jump on a crew and go.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
(I.S.A Certified preferred but not required) Arborist with minimum 3 years experience within the Tree Service industry
Applicants should have knowledge of basic climbing and tree rigging techniques
Valid Alberta's Drivers License with Air Brake Endorsement
Valid First Aid Certification
Experience with tree removals, proper pruning, climbing, rigging and forestry equipment required
Positive attitude, team player, strong work ethic, and ability to communicate with clients
Attend Daily Tailgate Meetings
Fulfill Work Orders Within the Edmonton Area
Tree Care: Tree/Shrub Pruning, Tree Removals, Brush Chipping, Assessing hazards, Hazard removals
Prepare Tree Equipment & forestry equipment
Protected operation of equipment and vehicles
Maintenance of all gear and equipment
Cabling
Daily/Weekly/Monthly: Ensure equipment meets company safety standards (conduct pre-trips, safety job site meetings, safe work practices)
Able to comprehend written and verbal instruction
Experience running a bucket truck as a crew lead
Competent in assessing hazards, tree rescue and emergency procedures
Operate and perform basic maintenance on chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders
Physically able to complete demanding work and repetitive tasks
Experience with proper pruning practices including large shade trees and ornamentals.
Ability to identify native and introduced tree and shrub species and have a working knowledge of each species’ characteristics.
Ability to climb without spurs.
Experience with tree care safety standards.
Experience with aerial lifts.
Demonstrate additional competencies in all areas of knowledge related to Arboriculture.
Communicate advanced understanding of all safety policies and procedures, including hazard tree identification.
Apply knowledge of branch collars and proper pruning cuts with total competence on chainsaw operations in small to large difficulty (40-50’) trees.
Employ ANSI A300 Pruning Standards and Terminology and ANSI Z safety.
