Responsibilities

Assist the teacher in implementing lesson plans and activities

Provide one‑on‑one support to students with high needs

Monitor student behavior and maintain a positive and safe learning workplace

Help with classroom management and organization

Assist with administrative responsibilities

Work in the before and after school care program (opening and closing shifts)

Facilitate washroom routines (including diapers)

Qualifications

Experience in early childhood education

Classroom experience working with children





Strong communication skills

Ability to effectively teach and engage with young learners

Proficiency in English and French languages

Knowledge of childcare and special education practices

Strong organizational and time‑management skills

Preferred: familiarity with the Montessori approach and Ontario’s pedagogy, "How Does Learning Happen?"

Additional Information
Hours: Monday – Friday
8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Closed during Christmas and March break

Wages: 6% vacation
$20.37 to $23.86 per hour
