As a dedicated Pharmacy Technician, you will prioritize patient safety while ensuring the accuracy of medication orders. Engage with practitioners and contribute to the quality of care through effective communication and precise processing.
In this role, you will operate within the competency guidelines set forth by the regulatory body. You will be responsible for processing medication orders, verifying prescription authenticity and completeness, and compounding medications as necessary. Ensure accurate entry of drug information in the pharmacy system, while managing inventory and completing clerical tasks assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process medication orders with clinical review
• Ensure prescriptions are complete and authentic
• Prepare and compound medications as needed
• Verify accuracy of dispensed medications
• Maintain stock levels and perform clerical duties
Requirements:
• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• Accredited Pharmacy Technician program completion
• Current registration with regulatory body
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle physical aspects of the role
