Join the Superior-Greenstone District School Board as a Native Language Teacher focused on Ojibwe. This position offers a unique opportunity to teach in both an in-person and virtual setting, enriching students’ language development.

The selected candidate will provide 0.5 Native Language instruction in-person and 0.5 virtually, serving schools like MNPS, SCPS, TBPS, NAPS, and MTPS. Applicants with previous experience teaching Ojibwe will be prioritized, along with demonstrated knowledge of Ojibwe culture. Your role will be vital in connecting students with their heritage through effective language instruction.

Key Responsibilities:
• Teach 0.5 Native Language classes in person
• Facilitate 0.5 virtual Ojibwe language sessions




• Incorporate Ojibwe cultural elements into the curriculum
• Create agile educational experiences for students
• Assist in fostering language proficiency among learners

Requirements:
• Current Certificate of Qualification required
• Experience in teaching Ojibwe strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Ojibwe culture and traditions
• Submit three professional references
