The Sleep and Brain Health Laboratory at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre (sleepandbrainhealth.ca) is seeking two casual research assistants in software development to assist in creating and maintaining code applying contemporary signal processing and machine learning approaches to analyze large-scale (thousands of recordings) human physiological time series data from wearable sensors to predict sleep and neurological outcomes, including sleep disorders such as sleep apnea and Alzheimer’s disease.
Responsibilities
Assist in creating and maintaining software that applies signal processing and machine learning to wearable-derived physiological signals (accelerometry, EEG, cardiopulmonary data) to predict sleep and neurological outcomes.
Qualifications
A university background in computer science
Solid programming skills
Experience applying signal processing / time series analysis / machine learning to human sleep data collected from wearable devices
