HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Provide exceptional customer service by greeting, assisting, and engaging visitors in meaningful learning experiences




Support and mentor volunteers to deliver exceptional visitor experiences, including training and coaching on best practices
Create and maintain a safe and inclusive environment by enforcing gallery policies and responding effectively to visitor concerns
Assist with the setup and maintenance of learning materials, specimens, and technological equipment, ensuring that resources are ready and in good condition
Assist the Gallery Coordinator(s) with operational duties, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and administrative tasks as required
Additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support the gallery’s mission and objectives
Assistin daily care, feeding and handlingof live animals

WHAT YOU BRING Successful completion of less than two (2) years of post-secondary education in a related field (such as education, museum studies, natural history, or world cultures), or an equivalent combination of education and experience
A minimum of one (1) year of experience working with children, youth, families, and/or volunteers in educational or community programming, with the ability to effectively engage and facilitate learning
Proficiency in French is highly valued and considered a strong asset
Strong customer service skills, with the ability to connect with visitors and colleagues in a positive, respectful, and inclusive manner
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently and collaboratively, and adapt to changing needs in a fast-paced museum environment
Flexibility to work weekends, select evenings, and during peak periods (including ROM for the Holidays, March Break and Summer)
A minimum commitment of three (3) days per week is required to meet operational needs
Enthusiastic about working with live animals, including frogs and insects.
