SQA Services is looking for a Quality Mechanical Source Inspector in Pittsburgh to focus on the precision inspection of mechanical parts. This part-time role involves 1-2 days of work per week, as needed.
As a Mechanical Source Inspector, you will leverage your 3+ years of inspection experience and strong visual acuity to ensure compliance. Your responsibilities will include verifying documentation and conducting inspections on various mechanical items, all while traveling to supplier sites within the Midwest. Adaptability to new tools and techniques is key for this job.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute precision inspections on mechanical parts and assemblies
• Employ a range of inspection equipment and techniques
• Validate compliance against specifications and standards
• Classify defect types observed during inspections
• Conduct surface and lot sample inspections as needed
Requirements:
• At least 3 years of precision mechanical inspection experience
• Expertise in GD&T; and interpreting drawings
• Robust visual acuity for identifying defects
• Ability to travel to various supplier sites
• Comfortable adapting to new inspection technologies
