As a Cook at the Lake Charlotte YMCA Early Learning Childcare Centre, you will prepare and serve nutritious meals and maintain hygiene standards for both food safety and the kitchen environment. You will also provide active support within daily childcare activities, contributing to an inclusive atmosphere that prioritizes child development.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and serve meals in line with nutrition standards
• Ensure all kitchen areas are clean and clutter-free
• Document food temperatures and allergen information




• Participate in staff training and childcare programming
• Conduct inventory assessments of dining supplies

Requirements:
• Food Handler Certification is required
• Complete Orientation for Licensed Child Care within six months
• Background checks including Criminal Record and Child Abuse Checks
• First Aid and CPR certification needed
• Advocate for diversity and inclusivity in childcare
