Become a key Addictions and Recovery Worker and empower individuals in their recovery journey. Provide essential non-medical care, harm reduction education, and general support to clients facing substance misuse.
This role focuses on delivering holistic care to both adults and youths dealing with addiction and mental health issues. You will facilitate groups, manage client interactions, and observe health changes. Your dedication will foster clients' recovery and promote community well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate supportive educational groups periodically
• Support clients through the admission and discharge process
• Monitor health status and document behaviors
• Assist clients with daily living tasks
• Model healthy lifestyle choices for clients
Requirements:
• Post-secondary certification in addiction counseling necessary
• Two years of related skilled experience
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification required
• BC Driver's License may be necessary
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training within three months
