Summary
Works under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse providing patient care in the clinical setting. Cares for a group of assigned patients with various needs to ensure safe, high-quality care is delivered. Care includes, but not limited to, providing for patient's daily needs such as hygiene, mobility, nutrition, toileting, ensuring safety measures are in place, communication with patient & care team, documentation of care provided. Additional skills as validated include urinary catheter insertion and removal, removal IV reseal, super pubic catheter care, telemetry lead placement and ostomy care/maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications

Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support)

Minimum requirements include one of the following: 6 months acute care experience; or 1-year Skilled Nursing Facility experience; or successfully completes a BayCare sponsored Nursing Assistant or PCT Internship; or completion of Nursing Fundamentals (RN); or Nursing Foundation (LPN) Programs; or EMT certification; or completed a PCT or Nursing Assistant program which includes at least 40 hours of an external clinical component.

Preferred

Experience: 1 year - Hospital in related field.
