Summary
Works under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, providing patient care in the clinical setting. Cares for a group of assigned patients with various needs to ensure safe, high‑quality care is delivered. Care includes providing daily needs such as hygiene, mobility, nutrition, toileting, ensuring safety measures, communicating with patient and care team, and documenting care. Additional skills include urinary catheter insertion and removal, IV reseal removal, suprapubic catheter care, telemetry lead placement, and ostomy care/maintenance.

Free Standing ER in South Tampa – Projected start date September or October 2026.

Minimum Qualifications

Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support)

Preferred: Credential EMT (Emergency Medical Technician)

Minimum experience: 6 months acute care, 1‑year Skilled Nursing Facility,



completion of BayCare sponsored Nursing Assistant or PCT internship, Nursing Fundamentals (RN), Nursing Foundation (LPN), EMT/Paramedic for ER, or completed a PCT or Nursing Assistant program with a clinical component.

Preferred Experience: 1 year – hospital in related field.
