Position Summary
Cariboo Memorial Hospital has an exciting prospect for a Relief part‑time Nursing Unit Clerk to join their team in Williams Lake, B.C.
Work schedule: Days, evenings, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday; 08:00 to 16:00, 14:00 to 20:00. Days off: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Position end date: November 30, 2027 or until return of incumbent.

Proof of Nursing Unit Clerk certification or program completion.
Education & Experience – Grade 12 plus one year recent related experience (or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience).

What Will You Work On?
Prioritizing, processing, coordinating, and transcribing physicians’ orders.
Act as a communication link for the Unit.
Schedule, book, and coordinate patient/resident appointments.
Assemble and maintain patient/resident charts, input patient/resident data, and transcribe information into relevant systems such as MARS, Kardex, Careplan, charts, or electronic health record systems.
Perform clerical duties – keyboarding, data entry, filing, compiling, preparing and maintaining statistics, producing reports, delivering and picking up items, maintaining unit supply levels, and taking meeting minutes.
Maintain timekeeping records for regular and relief staff and submit/enter to payroll systems.
Observe patient/resident call signals and relay messages to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications
Education, Training & Experience: Grade 12, medical terminology, and graduation from a recognized Nursing Unit Clerk program plus one year recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Completion of a 5‑minute typing certificate of 40 wpm within the last 48 months from an approved institution (non‑supervised tests not accepted).
