Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling.Job Responsibilities:RESPONSIBILITIES:Generally assigned to components, sub-assemblies, or systems that are less complex in nature – carry over parts, existing business and/or minor modifications. Where assigned to systems, responsibility is usually for component(s) within the systemReceives assignments, preparation of easy plans, designs, calculations, costs, and bills of material in accordance with established codes, standards, drawings or other specifications (usually minor components of larger scope programs and projects)Supports the complete development for the designated products including, but not limited to design, build and test activities, in accordance with standard operating procedures and the product delivery processMay carry out routine technical surveys or inspections and prepare reportsSupports customer requirements, regulations and product specifications into the design of the designated products, ensuring compliance with operational, cost, timing, safety, reliability, quality,
and manufacturing feasibility parametersAnalyzes products and formulates engineering conclusions by the application of engineering and/or mathematical principles and toolsWith guidance from engineering management is able to Analyze QFD, FEA, FMEA, DOE, VA/VE and DFM/DFA, as requiredWrites/compiles engineering content for the following deliverables: engineering specifications and documentation, including DVP&R;’s, 8D’s, GD&T;, BOM, prototype control plans, key product characteristics, engineering changes and work ordersConsults and collaborates with personnel in various engineering and design activities relative to product development requirementsSupports CAE activities (perform hand calculations)Supports effective communications within the project team and the customer, supplier, manufacturing and quality communities with guidance from engineering management and senior engineering personnel. Maintains all appropriate documentationUnderstands and follows existing policies, procedures, work instructions and standards and makes recommendations for continuous improvementsFollows Magna’s Code of Conduct & Ethics and related compliance policiesPerform other duties as requiredSalary Range: $21.08 to $25.46 per hourVacancy Status: Replacement Co-op student position, starting August 17, 2026QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:Working towards Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from accredited universityDeveloping communication skills:
