The Motor Winder will work with a small and dedicated team of mechanical professionals. Wind, assemble and install various types of coils. Test repaired motors, transformers, switchgear or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance.

The Role

Wind, assemble and install various types of coils

Test and adjust repaired products for proper functioning

Read and interpret diagrams

Perform static or energetic balancing of armatures or rotors

Assemble stators or armatures for heavy-duty electric motors

Replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutatorsandother components

Test and repair or replace faulty wiring or components in electrical switchgear

Test repaired motors, transformers, switchgear or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance

The Candidate

Education : Trade certification,Electric Motor Systems Technician (EMST)Trade Certification would be an asset.

Work Experience : 5+ years

Knowledge :Weld or braze components; Read electrical schematics, blueprintsandother technical diagrams; Read and interpret blueprints/sketches/specifications; Instruct apprentices
