Heavy Equipment Operators - Forestry Operations - 10/4 - Up to $45/hr - Edmonton, AB

Backwoods Energy Services is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for their forestry operations in Alberta. Operators will work with a variety of forestry equipment, including mulchers, feller bunchers, processors, skidders, and excavators. This is an excellent opportunity for safety-focused individuals to join a leading Indigenous-owned company and work on large-scale land-clearing projects. The ideal candidates are reliable, motivated, and committed to safety and quality.

What You’ll Need





- Minimum 2 years’ experience operating one or more of: Feller Buncher, Processor, Skidder, 250 HP Forestry Mulcher, or Excavator
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract
- Standard First Aid certification
- CSTS 2020 certification
- Ground Disturbance Level II certification
- Physically capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, overtime, weekends, and travel as required
- Ability to successfully complete a practical competency assessment

What Will Make You Stand Out

- Forestry, right-of-way, or land-clearing experience preferred
- Minimum 3 years of excavator experience preferred
