Barnhart Canada is seeking Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentices to join their Grande Prairie branch maintenance team. These individuals will work on a specialized fleet of cranes, trailers, and support equipment, focusing on preventative maintenance and repairs. The ideal candidates are 1st or 2nd year apprentices who value steady hours, teamwork, and the opportunity to work on high-value equipment in a stable environment.

What You’ll Need





- 1st or 2nd Year Heavy Equipment Technician certification
- Experience working on heavy equipment or cranes (earth movers, CAT, or similar preferred)
- Robust mechanical aptitude (electrical, hydraulic, suspension, air brake systems)
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work locally in Grande Prairie

What Will Make You Stand Out

- Background in heavy equipment, crane, or industrial environments
- Comfort with diagnostics involving electrical and fuel systems
- Experience with maintenance tracking, logbooks, or digital repair records
- Class 1 license (asset, not required)
