THE ROLE With 700 rooms and a maximum occupancy of 900, some of our guests are just passing through while others may stay for up to one year. This is no ordinary hotel operation. We are providing a service to the Canadian Armed Forces population, who are living, working and studying while staying with us. Under the direction of Hospitality Services Manager, the Housekeeping Coordinator establishes and implements operational procedures for the housekeeping and laundry department. They will coordinate and conduct inspections of assigned areas to ensure adherence to health regulations,
safety standards and departmental policies.
The Housekeeping
Coordinator maintains inventory of supplies and equipment. They will also set employee work schedules and responsibilities and coordinate employees.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED Education, Certifications and Licenses College diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Facility Management or a related field AND several years of supervisory experience in facility operations, housekeeping operations or a related field. (An acceptable combination of education, training and experience will also be considered)
Experience In coordinating the operations of housekeeping facilities In applying policies, procedures, regulations, and applicable legislation In operating laundry equipment In resource management In budget administration In personnel administration In using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, e-mail and Internet browsing
Competencies Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
