Job Description
We are currently looking for a Gatehouse associate to work in a fast‑paced retail environment. The position requires working outside and a thorough understanding of building materials to ensure each customer’s order is correct. Because of the loss‑prevention aspect, all products must be accounted for and paid for before leaving the premises; efficiency, tact, and thoroughness are essential for success.

Responsibilities

Collect payments

Operate registers, scanners, and credit card/debit card terminals

Check customer loads for accuracy

Explicit all loads coming in and leaving the yard

Report any violations, theft, accidents, or injuries to the store manager

Provide excellent customer service

Lift light to heavy merchandise





Qualifications

Lumber knowledge is an asset

Ability to perform physically demanding work as needed

Ability to work in all weather conditions and in a fast‑paced environment

Great verbal communication skills

Basic computer knowledge
