Overview
Join us in making this year’s Youth Cultural Diversity Day a successful experience for attendees and participating organizations. We are looking for an Event Support Assistant to assist with event coordination and engage with attendees.
Event Details
Location: 180 Roundhouse Mews, Vancouver, BC V6Z 2Y8 (Roundhouse Community Centre)
Event Date: Saturday, August 8, 2026 – 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Responsibilities
Greeting and directing attendees upon arrival.
Setting up event booths, activity stations, and décor before the event begins.
Preparing and organizing materials for activities and tracking inventory.
Running activity stations, engaging with attendees throughout the event.
Taking photos of event highlights and activities for VRES social media channels.
Assisting with takedown of all materials at the end of the event.
Qualifications
Minimum age: 12 years or older.
Fluent in English.
Ability to commute independently and arrive on time (travel costs may be reimbursed upon request).
Comfortable working in a rapid‑paced, outdoor event setting.
Committed to scheduled event timings.
Comfortable interacting with children and community members.
Takes initiative, follows instructions, and can work independently without close supervision.
