What You Can Expect
Join ENGIE North America’s mission to accelerate the transition to a carbon‑neutral future. As part of the ENGIE Canada team, this internship offers hands‑on exposure to financial reporting and audit coordination in a dynamic North American finance environment. The successful candidate will support ENGIE Canada and ENGIE North America’s financial reporting and compliance team in coordinating external audits to meet statutory and partnership reporting requirements, while gaining practical experience in financial statement preparation, variance analysis, supporting documentation and note disclosures.

Responsibilities

Compile and update financial statements and supporting documents for audit and regulatory compliance

Perform variance analysis on selected expenses and revenue accounts

Assist in addressing internal and external inquiries, responding in a timely manner

Update audited financial statements roll‑forward and supporting documents

Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements for various partnership entities

Participate in process improvements to achieve greater efficiencies

Participate in team meetings, reviews, and planning sessions to understand department and communication needs

What You’ll Bring

Currently enrolled at an institution of higher learning in a relevant degree program

Evidence of right to work in Canada

Basic knowledge of accounting principles and standards

Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel and Word), detail‑oriented and able to work accurately on multiple assignments on a timely basis





Ability to work independently in a demanding, changing environment and remain flexible on priorities

Ability to comply with all ENGIE policies and procedures

Additional Details

Ability to meet highest attendance requirements

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with high accuracy

Proficiency in using a personal computer, calculator, etc.

Interns must be enrolled students in good standing at the commencement of the intern semester

Attendance at a worksite on a daily basis

Willingness and ability to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

Internship Schedule
This internship is scheduled for the fall semester and is planned to start on or about Sept. 7, 2026 and to end on or before December 31, 2026.

Compensation
Hourly Range: $22.00-$24.50 CAD per hour.

Actual salary may vary depending on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
