Toromont Material Handling is looking for a skilled Forklift Technician specializing in electric forklifts to join our team. As part of one of the most trusted equipment dealers in the industry, you will service, diagnose, and repair a wide range of Caterpillar, Mitsubishi, Jungheinrich and other premium electric material‑handling equipment.
Our technicians play a key role in delivering high‑quality service directly to our customers—either in‑shop or on customer sites—while upholding our strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and customer support.

$41.31 to $44.37

In a typical day, YOU will:
Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting and repairs on electric forklifts, including:
Battery systems
Electric motors
Control modules and onboard electronics
Hydraulic and mechanical components
Use OEM diagnostic software and tools to identify faults.
Complete maintenance services to manufacturer standards.
Prepare accurate service reports and documentation.
Communicate clearly with customers and the service team.
Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with Toromont policies.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient service environment.
Must-haves for this role:
Valid Provincial Technician License (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 3–5 years of hands‑on experience working with electric forklifts or similar equipment.
Robust knowledge of electrical systems (24V, 36V, 48V and 80V).
Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot complex problems.
Experience with battery technologies (lead‑acid, AGM, lithium‑ion) is an asset.
Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
Self‑motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
A valid driver’s license (for field service roles).
