Mine Engineering Co‑Op (Fall 2026)
A growing North America Precious Metals Company, Discovery is committed to combining high-quality gold producing assets in Canada with the world’s largest undeveloped silver deposit in Mexico.
Position
Located in Timmins, Ontario, Discovery Kidd Creek consists of Mine and Concentrator sites focused on developing and sustaining economic mining plans for its ore body. Discovery Kidd Creek is the world’s deepest base‑metal mine with a depth of 3.01 km.
We are seeking a student of Mining Engineering for a 12‑month co‑op placement beginning in September 2026.
The role offers an opportunity to work closely with experienced Mining Engineers, Technologists and Technicians in an extremely deep and technically challenging mining environment. You will prepare engineering designs and drawings using standard computer techniques for drilling, blasting, and backfill processes. You will also be involved in practical aspects of engineering design in ventilation, ground control,
scheduling, surveying, projects, and mine design.
Skills and Qualifications
Enrolled in a Mining Engineering program at a recognized Canadian university
Thrives in a fast‑paced environment
Possesses working knowledge of AutoCAD and preferably ANIMO
Has solid interpersonal and communication skills
Legally entitled to work in Canada

Co‑op position, 12 months, starting September 2026. Location: Timmins, Ontario.
