Pump Operators, Tailings Management & Environmental Solutions (Northern Manitoba)

CEDA is hiring Pump Operators within our Tailings Management & Environmental Solutions division for a project in Northern Manitoba starting mid-August.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Operate, monitor, and maintain high-capacity pumps, pipelines, and fluid transfer systems.

Monitor flow rates, pressures, and system performance to ensure efficient dredging and tailings operations.

Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and minor mechanical repairs on pumps and associated equipment.

Support fluid management and tailings handling activities while maintaining environmental compliance.

Coordinate with dredge operators and supervisors to optimize production and system performance.

Identify and report equipment deficiencies, leaks, or operational issues and assist with corrective actions.

Conduct preventative maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

Maintain accurate operational, maintenance, and production records.

Ensure work areas are maintained in a safe, clean, and organized condition.





Participate in safety meetings, hazard assessments, and company safety initiatives.

Assist with marine operations, material handling, and heavy equipment activities as required.

Role Specifications

2+ years of labour experience required

Valid Class 5 driver’s licence required

Valid ECS CSO certification (or combination of CSTS-09 and OSSA Regional or BSO)

Standard first aid, fall arrest training beneficial

Valid pleasure craft operator card an asset

Comfortable working on and around open bodies of water

Prior experience with pumps, centrifuge systems or dredging and dewatering an asset

Experience around heavy equipment (loader, dozer, excavator, backhoe) an asset

Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
