Job Overview
This part‑time position (32 hours per week) may evolve into a full‑time role. The role involves customer visits, inventory management, and territory work to ensure customer needs are met and new opportunities are identified.

Compensation
The hourly rate ranges from $24.73 to $34.00, with eligibility for an incentive target of $1,800.00, contingent upon achieving both individual and company performance objectives. Actual compensation will vary based on location, experience, and skills.

You Will

Customer Service/Inventory Management

Service multiple customer locations on a designated route, providing the following services:

Receive and stock purchased product at customer locations.

Ensure proper stocking levels by scanning orders as inventory is depleted.

Oversee customer inventory locations, ensuring proper labeling and accurate quantities.

Resolve customer problems promptly and accurately to retain and promote customer loyalty in accordance with Grainger policy and procedure.

Comply with safety and inspection requirements of both Grainger and the facility where service is provided.

Meet defined KPIs for the position.

Non‑Route Based Activities as required, such as:

Perform machine break/fix activities at the customer’s site.

Implement territory work related to planning and execution of customer inventory projects.





Collect accurate inventory data to support KeepStock implementation.

Assist customers with staging, labeling, and organizing product on site.

Complete product relocation and discontinuation processes.

Travel as required.

Handle branch responsibilities as assigned.

Account Growth

Generate new orders by engaging with customers to identify additional product needs, seeking and capturing spot‑buy opportunities while on site.

Cross‑functional Partnerships

Execute onsite service components of account strategy as defined by cross‑functional business partners.

Work with sales partners to improve customer experience and increase business.

This position is part‑time Monday‑Friday (day shift) working 32+ hours per week.

You Have

High School Diploma/GED

3+ years of experience in customer service/sales (e.g., retail, telephone, warehouse)

Self‑motivated with high energy and dedication to customer service and sales growth.

Comfortable with daily use of technology.

Strong collaboration skills with internal and external customers and partners.

Ability to apply strong judgment, independent problem‑solving, and understanding of Grainger’s core value proposition.

Capability to handle various technical and operational issues.

Adaptability in a rapidly changing environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Background checks and drug screening may be required.





May be required to use a personal vehicle with valid insurance meeting Grainger’s standards.

Safety requirements: Personal protective equipment such as hard hats, steel‑toed boots, and clean or trimmed facial hair may be required for certain customer sites. Additional safety and screening procedures may apply on customer premises.
