Position Breakfast Cook

Location Main Lodge Kitchen, Blue River, BC

Type Seasonal, Full‑Time

Reports to Executive Chef, Sous Chef

Overview Breakfast cooks prepare a daily buffet in the Main Lodge Dining Room for up to 150 guests, including live interactive stations. Duties require high‑quality, sanitary food preparation, teamwork, adherence to safety procedures, and early morning shifts. Presentability and clear communication with guests are essential.

Responsibilities Ensure the highest level of quality and presentation of meals.
Set up and manage a breakfast buffet for up to 150 persons with live stations.
Maintain a high standard of kitchen cleanliness.
Follow all health and safety regulations and manage waste control.
Check fridge, inventory, and prep lists daily.
Clean fridges regularly.
Prepare lunch for guests as needed.
Assist with Bavarian House breakfast prep if required.
Help with dinner prep of salad bar, leaf salads, oysters, and mussels as needed.
Communicate problems and suggestions to supervisor.
Maintain punctuality and professionalism on shift and on company property.
Complete all duties efficiently within company guidelines.
Perform additional duties within the position’s scope as requested.

Qualifications Completion of a recognized culinary program preferred.
Expert knowledge of all aspects of breakfast cookery.




Expert knife skills.
High level of multitasking.
Food Secure Certification and WHMIS required.
2+ years’ experience in a similar position.
Ability to bend, kneel, lift moderate weight, and stand for extended periods.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to work a variety of day and weekend shifts.

Working Conditions Position requires 100% standing.
Exposure to cold, heat, hot water, and high kitchen temperatures.
Ability to transport up to 50 pounds on occasion, up to 35 pounds regularly.
Manual dexterity required for knife use and kitchen appliances.

Compensation $23.50 per hour
