Responsibilities Meeting with clients to discuss tiling and marbling requirements.
Measuring the area to be tiled or marbled to determine stock requirements.
Providing clients with accurate estimates for the intended job.
Purchasing stock supplies and assembling tiling equipment.
Creating custom-sized tiles or marble pieces.
Cleaning and leveling surfaces prior to installation.
Applying tiling cement and arranging tiles or marble to design specifications.
Applying tiling grout and cleaning excess grout.
Carrying out post-installation inspections.
Processing work invoices.
Qualifications and Requirements GED or high school diploma.
Prior experience as a tile and marble setter is required.
Excellent communication abilities.
Carpentry fundamentals.
Advanced mathematical abilities.
The ability to use hand and machine cutting tools.
Understanding of tiling designs and installation methods.
Ability to work for long periods crouching or kneeling.
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
