As a Technician I – Audio Visual with Bosch Building Technologies, you will collaboratively review, understand, analyze (for correctness), and implement installation blueprints and plans from Project Managers and Sales Teams to complete installations.

This role requires the ability and know-how to properly complete the installation, understand and follow the bills of material (BOM), and be capable of adjusting or finding alternative solutions as needed to complete installations to client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Build technical skills by shadowing experienced technicians, participating in training sessions, and learning manufacturer standards and best practices

Assist with the installation and servicing of cabling infrastructure and audiovisual devices, including pre-wiring, installation, termination, testing, labelling, and reporting in accordance with specifications and drawings

Support the installation of audiovisual systems, including video conferencing, distributed audio, digital signage, sound reinforcement, control systems, public address/announcement systems, and other presentation technologies

Accurately complete required documentation, including service reports, test results, and equipment records

Interact with customers and team members in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring inquiries are addressed appropriately

Follow all company and site‑specific safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and timely incident reporting, while consistently maintaining secure work practices and professionalism in all job‑related activities

Work at required heights using ladders, scaffolding, lifts, or other equipment

Perform tasks in confined spaces when necessary

Be available to work evening or night shifts when required, based on project or service needs

Other duties as required

Required Qualifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy

Flexibility to work in diverse environments, including active construction sites and completed office spaces





Previous experience (1–3 years) in audiovisual installation is an asset; related experience in electrical, mechanical, or construction environments will also be considered

Demonstrated problem‑solving ability with a willingness to learn and adapt on the job

Ability to successfully pass a background check as a condition of employment

Preferred Qualifications

Manufacturer certifications (e.g., Crestron, QSC, Extron, BiAmp) or CTS credentials are considered an asset

Post‑secondary education in electronics, electrical, telecommunications, or a related field is an advantage

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Ability to follow instructions, solve practical problems, and take responsibility for assigned tasks with appropriate guidance

Strong organizational skills to manage workload and support effective project delivery

Transparent communication skills, including the ability to write simple correspondence and present information in small group or one‑on‑one settings

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively across diverse teams and customer environments

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing priorities, environments, and organizational needs

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, and type on keyboard; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The use of power tools will be required to effectively perform this position.



The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may be required to work at heights over 1.8m (6 feet)

Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, work on job sites, may be required to travel to and from job site locations, may work in a typical office environment, and is occasionally exposed to construction equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Confined space entry may be required. High work may be required

Pay Range
$20.50 ph - $28.66 ph D.O.E
