At SyBridge Technologies, we’re looking for an experienced Injection Mold Designer to join our Engineering team. In this role, you’ll design complex injection molds using advanced 3D CAD software while working closely with Program Managers, Engineering, and Manufacturing to deliver innovative tooling solutions for industry‑leading customers. What You’ll Do
As an Injection Mold Designer, you’ll develop complete 3D mold assemblies that support efficient manufacturing, exceptional quality, and reliable mold performance.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Design complete plastic injection molds using advanced 3D CAD assembly modeling
Build and maintain detailed mold assemblies that meet customer and internal design standards
Create and release production‑ready CAD files and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
Support active tooling programs from initial design through manufacturing and final release
Collaborate with Engineering, Program Management, and Manufacturing to ensure designs are functional and manufacturable
Implement engineering changes and provide design support for shop‑floor modifications
Present tooling concepts and design intent to internal teams and customers
Perform minor surfacing modifications, including insert updates and geometry revisions
Ensure designs comply with customer specifications, industry standards, and best practices
Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
What You Bring
3+ years of injection mold design experience
Strong understanding of plastic injection mold construction and tooling principles
Experience designing complete 3D mold assemblies, including plates, actions, inserts, lifters, and related components
Proficiency with NX, CATIA, or other advanced 3D CAD software
CATIA experience is preferred; training will be provided for candidates with strong assembly modeling experience in other CAD platforms
Ability to interpret customer requirements and develop practical tooling solutions
Experience supporting manufacturing and implementing engineering changes
Basic surfacing experience is considered an asset
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
Strong communication, organizational,
and time‑management skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross‑functional teams in a quick‑paced engineering environment
