About the Position
As a Shipper / Receiver on the Vancouver team, you will be involved in shipping and receiving a variety of items in accordance with organizational requirements. Other duties include packing, unpacking, checking items against order documents and updating computerized inventory records. The role operates manual or powered equipment in accordance with safety requirements. This position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor and will work in Vancouver, BC.

General Responsibilities

Receives, unpacks and checks incoming materials to ensure goods are delivered as per specifications.

Pick and pack shipping orders.

Create a sustainable, protected, and orderly working environment in the warehouse area:

Maintain First In – First Out for inventory usage.

Consolidate materials to create space.

Complete related paperwork such as signing delivery slips and shipping documents; collect and file pertinent documentation such as waybills and consolidated orders.

Maintain inventory records by inputting shipping/receiving data into the computerized Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) system to ensure product is delivered and received as per requirements, and review information for accuracy.





Interface with Customer Service and Purchasing Representatives to fill/receive orders and verify customer for shipping purposes.

Liaise with Packers to ensure the right product is packed and identified appropriately and sent within established time frames.

Identify and return damaged or spoiled goods to suppliers.

Process small package and LTL shipments through UPS and FedEx terminal.

Operate forklift, pallet jack or other equipment to load, unload, and transport material.

Perform other related duties as required.

Additional training must be completed when assigned to Product Cells and other Production Locations. Training may include:

Product Training, according to work assignments.

Process Training, for each cell station in a production area, according to the Training Matrix for the production area.

Training on TPS, Routine Maintenance, Problem Solving, Teamwork, and similar or related topics.

Skills and Requirements
Completion of Grade 12.

Trained to operate forklift and cranes or able to be trained to operate a forklift or crane.

Demonstrated ability to relate with others in a team environment.

Demonstrated ability to follow established policies and procedures.

Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.

Demonstrated ability to take initiative in areas of importance.

Demonstrated ability to set up and operate related equipment.

Salary Range
Salary Range - $19.67- $28.54
