Part‑time Intermediate / High School Teacher/Tutor – Oxford Learning Scarborough Kingston Sheppard. The role requires teaching students in grades 8‑12 in math and science. Applicants have accurate curriculum knowledge and a passion for teaching.

Position Requirements

Work hours: 3:00 pm‑8:00 pm after-school and evenings; some Saturdays 10:00 am‑3:00 pm.

Commitment to end of term (June) preferred; summer extension is better.

In‑person teaching only; must commute to Scarborough.

Vulnerable sector screening mandatory.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.

Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience considered.

Teaching certification an asset.

Solid knowledge of current Grades 8‑12 math and science curriculum (Advanced Functions, Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Vectors, Physics, Chemistry, Biology).

Experience

Teaching/tutoring math and science at grades 8‑12 (or equivalent).





Excellent English written and oral communication skills.

Strong math proficiency and ability to guide student understanding.

Capability to manage up to three students simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Teach up to three students at a time at varying levels.

Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.

Complete post‑lesson notes and daily student communication updates.

Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.
