Role Description The Independent Financial Services Agent is responsible for managing and growing a personal client portfolio by providing objective financial guidance and solutions. This contract role involves meeting with clients in the Greater Vancouver Metropolitan Area, conducting financial needs assessments, and recommending suitable investment, insurance, and retirement strategies. Day-to-day activities include prospecting and networking, following up with leads, preparing proposals, and maintaining regular contact with existing clients to review and adjust their plans.
The role is hybrid, with a mix of in-person meetings and work-from-home tasks such as client communication, research, and documentation.
The agent is expected to operate with a high level of independence, adhere to regulatory requirements, and represent The Atlas Wealth with professionalism and integrity.
Qualifications
Strong client relationship skills, including active listening, clear communication, and a service-oriented approach.
Proficiency in financial planning concepts such as investments, insurance, retirement planning, and risk management.
Ability to generate new business through networking, referrals, and community engagement.
Solid organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple clients, follow-ups, and documentation.
Comfort with using digital tools and CRM systems for client records, scheduling, and remote communication.
Relevant licensing or registration (e.g., mutual funds, insurance, securities) in British Columbia or eligibility to obtain them within a defined timeframe.
Experience in financial services, wealth management, or a related field is preferred, but motivated candidates with transferable skills will be considered.
High level of skilled ethics, accountability, and the ability to work independently as a contract agent.
Post-secondary education in finance, business, economics, or a related discipline is an asset.
